Logging is in operation on this site
For site management and statistical purposes, information is collected
through standard Web server and firewall logs. These logs contain the domain name or IP address from which
you connect to our site, the date and time you access the site, and the pages
visited. Periodic checks are made of the types of browsers/operating systems used and
of the pages from visitors arrive to our site. Summary statistics are created from the Web logs
in order to measure the number of visitors to the various sections of our site
and to help make the site more useful. Except for authorized law enforcement
investigations, no attempt is made to identify individual users or usage patterns.
We do not give, share, sell or transfer any personal information to a third
party.
Malicious activity on this site
To assure the integrity of information on this server, we reserve the right to monitor all
our system and record all activity on our servers. If any actions to interfere with or to disrupt any of
our on-line services or intentionally gain unauthorized access to Channing Laboratory systems, we will
take all available legal recourse and we will cooperate fully with all investigatory agencies. In such
cases we would make all our server records available for use as evidence. If you find this policy
objectionable, we would recommend that you not make use of our web services.
Email and other correspondence
When inquiries are E-mailed to us, we store the question and the E-mail
address information so that we can respond electronically. Unless otherwise required
by statute, we do not identify publicly who sends questions or comments to our Web site.
We will not obtain information that will allow us to personally identify you when you
visit our site, unless you chose to provide such information to us.
