Acknowledgements and Attributions
 Site design
The design of this site is based on the NCBI web site. In
nearly all cases, the overall look and feel, the layout and navigation elements have been
copied with little or no change. We felt that the design of the NCBI site was so excellent that we could not
really improve on it without an enormous investment of time and labour. Since we lacked the skills
and budget needed, we have copied what they did.
We gratefully acknowledge the hard work that their site designers have done. Our copying
of their site is an expression of the high esteem we hold that site in. It is often said
that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery..
The toolbar
The toolbar at the bottom of the main page has been adopted from the toolbar on the
main NCBI site and the resources it displays are largely from the NIH which
generously provides these services freely. We have not "framed" the links in any way.
Users should be clearly aware that
the resources are attributable to their respective owners, not to the Channing Labs.
